Hey everyone! I’m Alan from 2402, Today my topic is The Science of Climate Change.
Today, I want to talk about something critically important—the science of climate change. I know it sounds serious, but trust me, it’s something we all need to understand.
What’s causing climate change?
The primary cause is human activity. Over the past 150 years, we’ve burned excessive amounts of fossil fuels—coal, oil, and gas. When these fuels are burned, they release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases act like a thermal blanket around the Earth, trapping heat. Normally, this natural process keeps our planet habitable, but now we’ve thickened that blanket too much. As a result, the Earth is warming at an alarming rate.
What can we do?
The good news is that we’re not doomed—but urgent action is required. Transitioning to clean energy sources like solar and wind power, reducing waste, and protecting forests are key solutions. Governments and corporations must take decisive action, but individual efforts matter too: using less plastic, conserving energy, and raising awareness about climate issues.
Why act now?
Climate change isn’t a distant threat—it’s already here. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and melting ice caps are clear evidence. However, science offers hope. We have the knowledge and tools to address this crisis; what we need now is collective action.
Let’s stay informed, spread awareness, and advocate for change. Our planet’s future depends on it.
Thank you for listening!
