The Power of Perspective:seeing the world through different eyes

Good morning, everyone.

Today, I want to talk to you about something very important — perspective.

When I was your age, I thought I understood the world. Life seemed simple — go to school, pass exams, and everything would be fine. But that changed completely when I left my family and country to study in Australia.

At first, I was excited — just like many of you are now. New country! New people! Freedom! No one checking what time I go to bed! But very soon… reality hit. I realized real life isn't so easy. Suddenly I was the chef, the cleaner, the laundry person, and the one responsible for everything — all rolled into one. I missed the comfort of home, the warm food, and especially not having to figure out what's for dinner every night!

This experience taught me something valuable — life gets real when you're on your own, and that's when your perspective starts to change.

But perspective isn't just about understanding life — it's also about understanding people. When we start to see the world through someone else's eyes, we become kinder and more compassionate. At university, I met students from many different countries. They looked strong on the outside, but each of them was carrying their own story, their own worries. That helped me become more patient, more understanding.

Now, I know some of you are feeling nervous about leaving home. That's okay — it's completely normal. But I also know there are others among you who are just counting the days:

“Finally! No more rules! No one telling me to do homework!"
And to you, I say: Enjoy the freedom while it lasts — because you'll soon be missing your mom's nagging and your dad's lectures more than you expect.

So my message to all of you is this: leaving home will change you — in a good way. You'll face challenges, yes, but those challenges will make you stronger. And the more you see life from different angles — your own and others' — the more you'll grow into someone thoughtful, capable, and kind.

So go ahead, be excited, be brave — and most of all, keep your perspective wide open.

Thank you.
