Good morning!

Today, it’s my honor to be here to share my insights about ‘The Power of Idol Admiration’. While Star-chasing often carries controversial connotations, I propose that when channeled appropriately, this phenomenon can become a powerful catalyst for personal growth and life transformation.

Star-chasing is not only about liking a star's appearance or talent, but more importantly, drawing strength from them and learning their quality and spirit. Take my favorite star Fan Chengcheng, Adam, as an example. His experience makes me deeply understand what is persistence and courage.

Adam faced rumors and scrutiny from a young age—from being questioned about his family ties to enduring corporate repression. Despite these pressures, he chose to prove himself with strength. He immersed himself in studying acting and learned from seasoned performers. Through relentless effort, he gradually shed the labels imposed on him and earned recognition, even winning the Potential Actor award at the 2023 Weibo Movie Awards. His story made me understand that difficulties in life are not to be feared and what matters is how we face these difficulties and how we find the motivation to move forward in the midst of setbacks.

Star-chasing has brought many positive influences on my life. First of all, it taught me persistence. Adam's experience tells me that success is never achieved overnight, but through constant efforts and waiting. Adam once said, ‘Since I have chosen this path, I will not give it up easily. Even if progress is slow, I’ll keep moving forward.’ Whenever I feel that studying mathematics is difficult and want to give up, his words remind me to persist. Moreover, when I feel unsure of myself, it makes me always keep a positive attitude in my life. Last but not least, star-chasing also makes me more clear about my goals. The transformation of Adam from a newcomer to an actor made me realise that only by constantly pursuing progress can we realise our dreams.

Most importantly, Adam’s journey has strengthened my sense of purpose. His journey is essential for me to realize my potential. Star-chasing isn't blind adoration; it's about drawing self-inspiring power from role models. It taught me the limitless power of a good example: no matter the difficulties, as long as we persevere, we'll find our own success. Through star-chasing, I gained perseverance, optimism, and a clear purpose. May we all use the transformative power of admiration to unlock our own potential.
