Good morning, everyone.

Today, I’d like to talk about why planting trees is one of the most important things we can do for our planet. We often hear about climate change and environmental problems, but we may not realize that a simple action like planting a tree can make a real difference.

First, trees help fight climate change. They act as the Earth’s “lungs,” absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Carbon dioxide is a major greenhouse gas that causes global warming. When forests are cut down, more CO₂ remains in the air, trapping heat. By planting trees, we help reduce this effect and improve air quality. It’s a simple way for each of us to protect the environment.

Second, trees support biodiversity. They provide homes and food for many animals, birds, and insects. Without trees, many species lose their habitats and face extinction. Planting trees helps rebuild ecosystems and creates safe spaces for wildlife. In cities, trees also attract bees and butterflies, which are essential for pollination and our food supply.

Third, trees improve our quality of life. They clean the air by trapping dust and pollutants, making it healthier to breathe. Trees also provide shade and help lower temperatures in cities, reducing the heat caused by buildings and roads. In addition, they reduce noise and create more peaceful environments. Being around trees can even reduce stress and improve mental health.

Fourth, planting trees is an investment in the future. Although trees grow slowly, their benefits last for decades. A tree planted today will provide shade, clean air, and habitat for future generations. It also teaches us an important lesson: small actions can lead to big results over time.

Unfortunately, the world is losing trees quickly. However, it’s not too late to act. We can start by planting trees in schools, communities, or at home, and encourage others to do the same. Every tree matters.

In conclusion, planting trees helps fight climate change, supports wildlife, improves our lives, and builds a better future. It is a simple action with lasting impact. Let’s plant more trees—for ourselves and for our planet.

Thank you for listening!
