Dear teachers and students, I am Ciara from 2301. Today, my topic of speech is about the value of education.

Education is a process of pursuing knowledge, skills and wisdom, and it’s the cornerstone and driving force of human civilization development. So, now, I will tell you some values of the education and some of my views about the education.

Firstly, education is a necessary path towards our future dreams. During education, we can improve our thinking and innovation skills to develop ourselves, helping us quickly to adapt to the future jobs. Additionally, it’s a ticket for us to have high qualification of our major. For instance, as a doctor, you need to have sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and education can provide a good platform for them.

In addition, Socrates once said that the essence of education is to awaken. Socrates educational philosophy emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, which can only be achieved through awakening and cannot be transferred like goods. The purpose of education is to help students recognize their inner potential value, rather than simply imparting external knowledge.

For me, as a hobby, I really enjoy discussing philosophical issues with like-minded friends.Through the collisions of ideas, we may find comfort in things that cannot be explained in reality and discover our value that education itself brings to people.

All in all, we should cherish the opportunity of education on the path of growth and continuously promote comprehensive development of oneself.
